About the Socio-Economic Development Prospects in the Vologda Oblast

The presence of a strategic planning system is one of the basic conditions of sustainable development of territories in the long term. According to Federal Law 172-FZ of June 28, 2014 “On strategic planning in the Russian Federation”, strategic development plans for constituent entities of the Russian Federation are an integral element of strategic planning in the country. In recent years, the regions were actively engaged in the elaboration of relevant documents. The Vologda Oblast was no exception; here the Socio-Economic Development Strategy for the period until 2030 was approved in October 2016.
